About this policy

Journey Church of the Antelope Valley ("Journey Church," "we," "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through our website, avjourney.org, our YouTube channel (@avjourney), and our internal tool, the Journey Church Sermon Uploader, and how we use it.

Information we collect

We collect only what you choose to give us and basic technical data needed to run the site.

  • Information you provide: your name, email address, phone number, and message when you fill out a contact, prayer request, connection card, or event sign-up form.

  • Technical information: standard web data such as browser type, device, pages visited, and approximate location, collected by our website host (Wix) and analytics tools.

  • Embedded YouTube videos: videos on our site are played through YouTube's embedded player. When you watch them, YouTube may collect information under Google's Privacy Policy.

We use this information to respond to you, share church news you ask for, and improve our website. We do not sell your personal information.

YouTube API Services

Our website and the Journey Church Sermon Uploader use YouTube API Services. By using them, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, and your information is handled under the Google Privacy Policy.

Website. Our website uses the YouTube Data API to read public information about our own channel's recent live streams (video IDs and titles) so it can show our latest services. It does not access any visitor's Google or YouTube account.

Journey Church Sermon Uploader. This is an internal tool used only by authorized Journey Church staff signed in with a church (avjourney.com) Google account. With the staff member's permission, it:

  • uploads sermon and short-form videos to the Journey Church YouTube channel;

  • sets each video's title, description, tags, and publish schedule.

The uploader requests only the YouTube upload permission. It does not read, store, or share any other user's data. The access token it receives is stored only on the church computer that runs the tool and is used only to upload to our own channel. We do not share YouTube API data with any third party.

Cookies, sharing, and retention

  • Cookies: our website and the embedded YouTube player may place cookies or similar technologies on your device to remember preferences, measure traffic, and play videos. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

  • Sharing: we share information only with service providers that help us run the church's website and communications (such as Wix and Google), or when required by law.

  • Retention: we keep form submissions only as long as needed to respond and serve you. Uploader access tokens are kept until staff revoke access or the token expires.

Your choices and contact

  • Revoke YouTube access: anyone who has authorized the Journey Church Sermon Uploader can remove its access at any time from the Google security settings page. When access is removed, we delete the stored access token.

  • Your information: to ask what we hold about you, or to correct or delete it, email ken@avjourney.com.

  • Changes: we may update this policy and will post the new version on this page with its effective date.
